Meet the Management Team

Kia ora koutou, warm greetings from the Management staff. As committed advocates of quality early childhood education we are proud to provide the administrative and professional support services that allow children to enjoy a fabulous start to their learning journey.

We do this by attending to the day to day running of the Association which includes:

  • Employment and management of all Association staff
  • Professional support and development
  • Payroll
  • Financial recording and reporting
  • Property maintenance and insurance
  • Health and Safety compliance
  • Deliverance of the strategic plan goals set by the Board
  • Local kindergarten committee support
  • Administrative services to kindergartens and Parents as First Teachers

Leonie Bond, Finance Manager

Responsible for Association budgets, Infocare management, financial management, services procurement and payroll services. Also manages the treasury for kindergartens and provides training and support for kindergarten teachers.  

"I started working for the Association in Napier in 1997 as Finance Manager. I subsequently moved to Wellington from where I am able to deliver all of the services required of me in conjunction with regular travel to Napier as required. My involvement with Napier Kindergartens began in 1992, as a parent at Pirimai Kindergarten, then as a trustee on the Board. I love my job and the people I work with!  My interests outside of work include reading, cross stitching and spending time with my family."

Beth Huddleston, Education Manager

Responsible for the professional support, development and supervision of teachers and teacher aides and also responsible for teacher registration.

Qualification: Bachelor of Teaching (ECE)

 
"As an Education Manager my role is to provide support, guidance and professional development for our highly motivated teaching teams. I have worked in this position since the beginning of 2009. My career in education includes kindergarten, ESL and working in International schools. I love all the outdoor activities that Hawkes Bay offers and traveling both in NZ and overseas. I live in Haumoana, which is both picturesque and tranquil."

Helen Whaanga, Office and Facilities Coordinator

Responsible for administration support to the office and liaison/coordinating services to the kindergartens.


My children and I all attended Greenmeadows Kindergarten and now I'm lucky enough to be able to work with our great teaching and management teams at Napier Kindergartens. I am fairly new to this role but looking forward to supporting our teachers so they can provide an excellent preschool education and experiences to the children of Napier.
